ABOUT WORK RESOLVE

Your workplace has HR. You have Work Resolve.

Independent support when you need someone outside your workplace to talk to.

Workplace problems can be difficult to navigate, particularly when you are unsure what to do next.

Your employer may have an HR department and internal processes available to you. But sometimes you may want to speak to someone independently before deciding how you want to proceed. That's why Work Resolve exists.

Work Resolve provides independent, practical workplace support for employees facing difficult or uncertain situations at work.

We don't replace your employer's HR department, and we don't provide legal advice or legal representation. Instead, we provide a confidential space where you can explain what's happening, understand the situation, explore your options and consider your next steps.

Meet Steven Wylie

The person behind Work Resolve

25 Years of Management and HR Experience. Now Working for You.

When workplace problems arise, experience matters.
I’m Steve Wylie, Founder of Work Resolve. With 25 years of management and HR experience, I bring extensive practical workplace knowledge and a clear understanding of the challenges employees can face when workplace situations become difficult.

Throughout my career, I have developed an in-depth understanding of workplace processes, management decision-making, employee relations and the complexities that can arise when disagreements, formal procedures or concerns about workplace treatment need to be addressed.

I understand how workplaces operate, how HR processes work and why the way you approach a workplace issue can make a real difference.

Steven Wylie - Director - Work Resolve

That experience is at the heart of Work Resolve.
I established Work Resolve to provide employees with access to independent, experienced and practical support when they need help understanding a workplace situation, preparing for an important meeting, responding to an allegation, raising a grievance or planning how to approach a difficult conversation with their employer.

You may be facing a disciplinary investigation, a performance improvement plan, redundancy, workplace conflict, concerns about how you have been treated, or difficulties involving sickness, absence and reasonable adjustments. Whatever your circumstances, understanding the situation, considering your options and planning your next steps carefully can make a real difference.

Practical Support Tailored to Your Situation
Every workplace situation is different. Rather than offering generic information, I provide personalised support shaped around your circumstances and the challenges you are facing.

I can help you organise the facts, identify the key issues, prepare relevant questions, consider possible approaches and communicate your concerns clearly and professionally. Where appropriate, I can also help you prepare written responses and correspondence for you to review and send to your employer.

My approach is straightforward: to help you better understand your situation, feel more prepared and approach the next steps with greater clarity and confidence.

You do not have to navigate a difficult workplace situation alone or try to make sense of everything without support.

Work Resolve provides independent, practical workplace support and guidance. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Where a matter requires specialist legal advice, we may recommend that you seek advice from a suitably qualified legal professional.”

Why have Work Resolve?

Because sometimes you need someone outside the workplace to help you see the situation clearly.

Sometimes it helps to have someone outside the situation to listen and provide an objective perspective.
Work Resolve offers an independent opportunity to talk through what is happening without the pressure of dealing with the situation alone.

Practical Guidance
Workplace problems can become complicated very quickly. Work Resolve focuses on practical steps that can help you understand the situation, prepare for conversations and communicate your position clearly.

A Calm and Straightforward Approach
There is often enough stress involved in a workplace problem without making things more complicated.
Steven's approach is straightforward, professional and focused on helping you understand what is happening and what your possible next steps might be.

Support Built Around Your Situation
No two workplace situations are exactly the same.

Your circumstances, concerns and objectives are unique, which is why the support provided by Work Resolve is considered around the particular situation you are facing.

Who Can Work Resolve Help?
Work Resolve provides support to both
employees and employers.

For employees, this may include situations involving workplace conflict, difficult working relationships, grievances, disciplinary matters, reasonable adjustments, redundancies, appeals or concerns about how a workplace situation is being handled.

For employers, support may be useful when dealing with workplace conflict, communication difficulties, employee concerns, difficult conversations or situations where early intervention could help prevent matters from becoming more complicated.

The aim is not to take sides. It is to understand the circumstances, identify the issues involved and consider a constructive way forward.

Sometimes Getting Help Early Can Make a Difference
You do not necessarily have to wait until a workplace problem has become a formal dispute before seeking support.

Sometimes an independent conversation at an earlier stage can help you understand what is happening, prepare for a difficult discussion or consider whether further support may be appropriate.

An initial consultation provides an opportunity to explain your circumstances, ask questions and explore your options.

There is no obligation to continue with Work Resolve after the initial consultation.

What Work Resolve Does Not Provide
Work Resolve provides independent, practical workplace support and guidance.

We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Where a situation requires specialist legal advice, we may recommend that you seek advice from a suitably qualified legal professional.

The purpose of Work Resolve is to help you understand the workplace situation you are facing, consider your options and communicate your position clearly and constructively.

The Work Resolve Approach
Listen. Understand. Explore. Resolve.

The Work Resolve approach is built around four simple principles:

  • Listen
Take the time to understand what has happened and what concerns you.

  • Understand
Look at the circumstances objectively and identify the key workplace issues involved.

  • Explore
Consider the options available and what practical steps may be appropriate.

  • Resolve
Work towards a clearer, more constructive way forward.

Not every workplace problem can be resolved immediately, and there may not always be a simple answer. But having an independent perspective and a clear understanding of your options can make it easier to decide what to do next.
